We started Conduction in 2019 to bring open-source thinking to Dutch government IT. We call ourselves Digital Socials. Tech is only worth shipping when it serves the person on the other end. Five years in, the apps run on the same any team can install, no procurement track required, no consultancy hours added on top.
Who we are.
We're small on purpose. Every app has a named owner. Every customer talks to a person. Below: the team that ships and supports the platform.
Started Conduction in 2019. Reframes problems and builds the answer. Owns the Technical Core: schema design, federated data, how OpenRegister wires into the rest of the platform.
Curious by default. Tests every market move and keeps the rest of the team sharp on what users actually want.
Turns customer questions into concrete projects. Keeps sales and ops running so the build team can stay heads-down.
Translates complex briefs into something that ships. Combines technique with practice and knows what it takes to make tools land at municipalities and partners.
Sharp eye, dedicated developer. Loves puzzling through code until the answer is the right one.
Programmer at heart, teamplayer in practice. Likes building solutions and helping the rest of the team get further.
Builds the interfaces users touch every day. Pairs an eye for detail with a pragmatic build style, so the result is both pretty and usable.

A platform earns its place by getting out of the way. These are the principles that drive how we build.
Open by default.
Every app is EUPL-1.2 on GitHub. Every register exports to JSON. Your data is yours, the day you uninstall is as easy as the day you installed.
Two minutes to working.
The shortest path from "this looks useful" to "we're using it" is the install button. We optimise for that, not for our consultancy hours.
Compliance built in.
WOO, BIO, GDPR, NEN-7510. Audit log, retention, citation-stable IDs are part of the install, never a paid add-on.
Plain Dutch, plain English.
We write for the person who needs to make a decision today, not the procurement officer who'll never use it. The docs and the website read the same.
Federated, not centralised.
Every install is sovereign. Catalogues federate via API. Nothing depends on a Conduction-hosted service to work.
ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 27001:2022.
Quality management and information security, audited yearly, recertified every three years. The full picture, including ISAE 3402 via Cyso, BIO status, and NEN-7510 alignment, lives on the ISO page.
